 
        
        Overview
We are seeking a committed and experienced individual to join our integrated wellbeing team in this role, to provide specialist advice and support for student mental health and wellbeing and to deliver a range of interventions for students experiencing personal difficulties that may impact on their learning.
Responsibilities
 * Provide an effective triage for student wellbeing enquiries and referrals.
 * Assist students with a range of issues relating to their student experience; identify and manage risk in relation to student mental health; respond appropriately to challenging situations; identify barriers to student engagement; build positive partnerships with external NHS agencies and voluntary organisations.
 * Work with the Head of Wellbeing and Disability to contribute to the development of inclusive and embedded services to support student wellbeing at the University.
 * Collaborate with the wider Wellbeing, Counselling and Disability Service; travel to other campuses and provide online/remote wellbeing support as needed.
 * Deliver group workshops within the wider wellbeing service.
About You / Qualifications
 * Hold a degree or equivalent; have a recognised vocational qualification e.g. accredited mental health or psychological therapy qualification, such as being a PWP, registered psychiatric nurse, occupational therapist, social worker, or counsellor.
 * Relevant and recent experience of supporting young people with mental health problems/issues, including experience of working with young people in distress/crisis.
 * Effective interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
 * Flexible approach with excellent planning, communication and organisational skills; willing to take an active role in the development of the service, including delivering group workshops within the wider wellbeing service.
