Overview
Social Worker required to join as a Senior Practitioner in the Learning Disability Team in the beautiful city of Southampton. Competitive rates up to £32-35ph, 37 hours per week, 3‑month minimum contract with options to extend, flexible working.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
We are looking for a registered (SWE) qualified experienced social worker who has experience of LD and, if possible, has previously worked in Southampton City Council and is understanding of our internal systems and processes already.
* Experienced in Care Act Assessments, Reviews and Support plans
* Confident chairing best‑interest meetings and S42 planning meetings
* Experience supporting less experienced colleagues
* Experience completing complex Mental Capacity Assessments and best‑interest pathways
* Confident and experienced leading on S42 safeguarding enquiries
* Experience in Court Work, especially Com DoLS
* Accountable and able to manage time effectively and a complex caseload
* Accountable for recording in line with GDPR
* Ability to manage conflict in a high‑pressure area of work
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
