We are currently recruiting for experienced Welder / Fabricates to join a long-established and highly respected engineering company based in Weymouth.
The role is site-based and offers the chance to play a key part in developing junior team membersproviding hands-on guidance, sharing best practices, and helping them refine their skills in a supportive environment.
Duties and responsibilities of the Welder / Fabricator:
Perform MIG and MMA welding on aluminium and steel components to high standardsAccurately inspect and assess all finished welds for quality, durability, and complianceSupport the safe and efficient completion of work in both workshop and site environmentsTake an active role in mentoring junior welders and fabricatorsproviding guidance, correcting technique, and helping to build their confidence and competencePromote a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement across the teamAdapt to a variety of marine engineering tasks depending on project scopeQualifications and requirements for the Welder / Fabricator
Time-served Welder/Fabricator with proven experience in steel and aluminium weldingSkilled in MIG and MMA welding techniquesStrong awareness of safety procedures and quality standardsMust be willing to travel to the Weymouth site dailyComfortable working outdoors and in changing site environmentsA natural team player with the ability to guide and support junior team members
