The North East Raising Aspiration Partnership (funded by the five universities in the North East Region) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated recent graduate for the role of Higher Education Ambassador.
The Higher Education Ambassador, based at Teesside University, will support the development and delivery of outreach activity in schools across the region for learners in Year 2–13 and will actively support programmes for specific under‑represented groups such as looked‑after young people and young carers.
The role will be hosted at Teesside University and line‑managed by a NERAP Project Coordinator. The Ambassador will work with schools across the region as part of a regional team supported by the NERAP/Uni Connect Central Team and Outreach Delivery Managers to raise awareness of the full range of higher education opportunities in the region, and will also support colleagues at other partner institutions.
The position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of the clearance procedures.
Applicants will be cleared under a DBS disclosure and, due to UKVI minimum salary thresholds, this post will not qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
