Azure Cloud Architect Location: Remote anywhere in UK Employment Type: Permanent / Contract Projects: Multiple client environments across Financial Services, Public Sector, and Enterprise Technology About the Role We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join a leading Managed Service Provider delivering complex cloud solutions across a wide range of client environments in the UK. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising Azure cloud architectures that support digital transformation initiatives, large-scale migrations, and cloud-native development projects. You will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and client leadership to shape cloud strategies, ensure enterprise-grade security, and deliver scalable Azure-based platforms aligned to business requirements. Key Responsibilities Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and serverless services Lead cloud migration and transformation projects for multiple clients from initial assessment through delivery Define architecture blueprints, technical roadmaps, and governance frameworks Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into scalable cloud solutions Provide technical leadership to delivery teams, offering guidance on best practices and Azure capabilities Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimisation are embedded in all architecture designs Participate in pre-sales engagements, shaping proposals and solution offerings Work in Agile and DevOps environments to support continuous delivery of cloud services Mentor engineers and architects on Azure technologies and frameworks Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as an Azure Architect or Senior Cloud Engineer in an MSP or consultancy environment Deep expertise in Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, Virtual Networks, Azure Identity & Security Strong background in cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and multi-tenant architectures Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, ARM/Bicep Knowledge of Azure governance, cost management, and security best practices Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, identity management, and Zero Trust Security models Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing skills Desirable Azure Certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer) Experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform integrations Exposure to AI, machine learning or data modernisation projects within Azure Background working on enterprise-level projects in regulated industries (Finance, Public Sector, Healthcare) What's on Offer Competitive Daily Rate or permanent contract Opportunity to work on large-scale, complex cloud architecture projects across multiple sectors Clear career progression to Principal Architect or Cloud Practice Lead Collaborative team environment within a fast-growing MSP Competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package Flexible working arrangements If you are passionate about delivering enterprise-grade Azure solutions and enjoy working in a fast-moving, client-facing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
