Scallywags Day Nursery in Oakham currently have vacancies for Early Years Practitioners, either Qualified (ideally qualified to at least Level 2 in Childcare, preferably Level 3), or Unqualified who would like to receive training. Either full-time or part-time hours can be considered.

A Qualified Early Years Practitioner is required, to:
* Provide Children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment
* Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children within their age group
* Ensure observations/ evaluations are regularly completed and records are kept up to date
* Operate a keyworker system and liaise with parents/carers about their child's development and encourage them to participate in their child's learning and development
* Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
Ideally you will need to:
* Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 3 or above (such as NVQ Level 3 in CCLD, Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People's Workforce), or equivalent qualification
* Have gained experience within a nursery setting
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
* Good knowledge and understanding of OFSTED policies and regulations
* Good knowledge of Child Protection, Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Ability to work well within a team as well as using own initiative
* Have good communication skills

The working hours are between 16 and 40 hours per week, shift patterns from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
All employment is offered subject to the completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, 2 written references and a 3 month probationary period.
