Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure the smooth operation of brewing and packaging machinery, reducing downtime, and optimising performance across the plant
* Troubleshoot, identify, and repair mechanical faults with timely remedial actions, prevent unplanned equipment breakdowns, and maintain production continuity
* Execute modifications and installations of new machinery and equipment in line with engineering management requests
* Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring all equipment operates within safety guidelines to protect staff, contractors, and equipment from hazards
* Uphold company hygiene standards and regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering techniques, tools, and procedures, applying them to improve operations
* Accurately maintain departmental records, including maintenance logs and equipment data for audits
* Follow departmental operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality
* Ensure activities and equipment comply with regulations such as HMC&E, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, supporting quality initiatives
* Attend team meetings, engineering briefings, and training courses as required
* Perform additional tasks as reasonably requested by engineering management
The Ideal Candidate:
* Demonstrable mechanical experience in plant/production operations
* Completed a recognised Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience working with air systems and pneumatics is essential
* Welding qualifications are an advantage
* Experience working with electrical equipment is beneficial
