The Role – Behaviour Mentor

This SEMH School is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, many of whom may display challenging behaviour. The successful Behaviour Mentor will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, building positive relationships, promoting engagement in learning, and supporting the development of appropriate behaviour and coping strategies. Working alongside teaching staff and external professionals, the Behaviour Mentor will help implement behaviour support plans, de-escalate situations, and create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This Behaviour Mentor role requires patience, empathy, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping young people overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.

The School – Behaviour Mentor

This specialist provision offers education for young people from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 5 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It provides both boys and girls with valuable opportunities to engage in a range of vocational subjects within a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
