We are seeking a dedicated, competent, qualified and skilled Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) to join our team. The role involves ensuring fire safety compliance across our estate by managing service providers and overseeing fire safety strategies.
Role Overview:
The Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) will be the nominated Responsible Person for fire safety, overseeing fire risk management, property compliance, and asset management strategies to ensure properties are safe and compliant with relevant legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
The responsibilities include managing risk assessments, developing fire safety policies, ensuring legal compliance, collaborating with teams, and overseeing maintenance programs to maintain a safe environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage fire safety compliance programs across all sites.
* Review and maintain fire risk assessments and audits.
* Develop, review, and implement fire safety policies.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
* Liaise with fire authorities, insurers, and auditors.
* Provide fire safety training and advice to staff.
* Investigate fire incidents and recommend corrective actions.
* Stay updated with fire safety laws and best practices.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
* Lead fire-related meetings and ensure issues are addressed.
* Provide leadership in fire compliance management.
* Build relationships for knowledge transfer and training.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulations.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in fire safety management or compliance roles.
* Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety or IFE certifications.
* Experience with regulatory bodies and emergency services is a plus.
* Ability to develop risk management strategies.
