Legal Cashier – Newbury
A well-established, 500‑recognised law firm has an excellent new opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join its busy Finance Team based in Newbury.

The Role:
As the successful Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the firm's financial operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing client and office account transactions, payments, transfers and reconciliations in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SRA)
* Processing high‑volume disbursements and allocations accurately and efficiently
* Ensuring compliance with all revenue, tax and regulatory requirements
* Liaising with fee‑earners, partners, banks and accountants to resolve finance queries and support multiple practice areas
* Maintaining meticulous financial records, calculating client interest and assisting with management reporting to ensure full compliance
About You:
Applications are invited from individuals who:
* Have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Legal Cashier within a UK law firm
* Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and general accounting principles
* Have experience using online banking and legal finance systems (e.g. Elite 3E, Quill, or similar)
* Are detail‑oriented, methodical and able to prioritise multiple tasks in a busy environment
* Are based within a commutable distance of Newbury, or open to a hybrid working pattern
