We are currently working with a fantastic dealership in the Bolton area who are looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician. The ideal candidate must have level 3 qualification, preferably with diagnostic experience, and MOT tester accreditation is a further advantage.

About the role:
As a Vehicle Technician, you will report to the Workshop Controller and be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles. You will ensure work is completed in line with the repair process, meet customer expectations, and consider commercial and operational requirements while maintaining high industry and brand standards.
Core Responsibilities as Vehicle Technician:
* Review customer requirements provided by Service Advisors/Executives, ensuring sufficient information is available to complete repairs.
* Determine parts needed and order them as required.
* Estimate labour operation times to support the Service Advisor/Executive in providing accurate quotes.
* Carry out repairs following workshop manuals.
* Write clear and concise job cards.
* Perform Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL) on every vehicle.
* Coordinate with relevant staff to optimize time and material usage.
* Record and log all time spent as per warranty procedures.
* Conduct road tests and ensure personal quality control.
* Use protective covers to safeguard customer property.
* Adhere to the Insurance Code of Business guidelines for the sale of Approved Warranty and Assistance.
* Keep technical and job knowledge current through training and reading manufacturer publications.
* Achieve service KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and utilization.
* Take ownership of personal development to meet business needs.
* Complete the Bronze Qualification standard within 1 year of employment.
Salary: £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with alternate Saturday mornings 8:30 am - 12:00 pm (paid as overtime at time and a half).
