GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic school in Sheffield, S12. As a Behaviour Mentor, this role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by providing tailored support to students facing behavioural challenges, ensuring they can thrive both academically and socially. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis to address behavioural issues. Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive engagement. Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to develop individualised support strategies. Maintain a calm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges is desirable. Strong communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a commitment to helping students succeed. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps clearly explained.
