The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and delivering tailored learning programmes that meet the individual needs of pupils, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities.
* Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider school staff to support holistic pupil development.
* Track and report on student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to ensure all learners are supported effectively.
* Engage with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching children or young people with special educational needs (in mainstream or specialist settings).
* Strong understanding of a range of SEND, including strategies for supporting communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation.
* Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to adapt teaching styles to meet individual needs.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
* Exceptional organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
