We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 OT to join ouramazing integrated therapy team, where you will assist in the delivery of ahigh-quality Occupational Therapy service. Under the guidance of SeniorOccupational Therapists, you will assess and manage a caseload of varied andcomplex needs.
Main duties of the job
Manage a caseload of complex cases of all ages relating to mobility, pressure and postural care and often in combination with communication, challenging, cognitive and/or perceptual difficulties with support from senior staff as needed.
Formulate individualised action plans based on the assessment findings and clinical reasoning; prescribe appropriate specialist equipment using options from a range of equipment.
Communicate complex and sensitive information and advice in a sensitive and empathic manner to service users, carers and professionals, including information about diagnosis and prognosis, to find ways of enabling the information to be understood.
Using evidence-based/patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, as well as responsibility for managing and transferring an individual patients ongoing care to other professions and agencies as appropriate.
Identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.
