A bit about the division
Global Ventures is Hyve’s dedicated accelerator unit which launches new events and supercharges new ventures. This is where event launches are born and new products are accelerated, powered by obsessive customer focus, rapid experimentation, simple decision-making and entrepreneurial energy.
A bit about the role
This role reports to Portfolio Director, Global Ventures. This dedicated senior marketing role will operate alongside the Global Ventures event teams, playing a pivotal role in ensuring they are fully equipped to deliver against commercial objectives. Contributing to the effectiveness of marketing campaigns across all shows within Global Venture’s remit, this role is focused on driving performance, accountability and results. They will coach and support marketing leads across multiple shows, ensuring clear plans, strong execution and delivery against both revenue and delegate targets. With a proven track record of running multi-channel campaigns and launching new products and brands, the successful candidate will be responsible for maximising show performance and embed best practice to enable replicable launches at scale.
Responsibilities and expectations
* Successfully develop and deliver global marketing strategies for our portfolio of events, including brand marketing, lead generation, delegate acquisition and retention. With a launch focus, responsibility will be on getting a new launch prepped and into market as quickly and effectively as possible. Increasingly, following a tried and tested marketing playbook for launch events.
* Drive customer focus and a culture of customer centricity across the team(s), ensuring all plans are underpinned by an understanding of customer needs, and market dynamics.
* Develop growth marketing strategies and drive new customers to the portfolio’s suite of launches and products.
* Oversee planning of fresh and innovative communications and marketing plans to increase existing customers’ engagement and convert prospects into new customers.
* Oversee the execution of integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns for each event.
* Marketing performance review and management, including regular reviews of key campaign metrics, and driving improvements and recovery plans where necessary.
* Leadership, team management and cross-functional collaboration: Manage, mentor and lead a growing, dynamic and fast-paced team that spans individuals focused on specific events and those working across the portfolio. Adapt to changing team, as new products and launches come into Global Ventures and others ‘graduate’ out into the wider business. Work with the central teams at key points to ensure efficient and effective delivery of digital marketing against the strategic marketing plans. Build and shape the tech competency within the Global Ventures team through dedicated resource as/when.
* Budget, financial, business growth and reporting responsibility: Responsibility for marketing budget and spend, ensuring this delivers the required commercial results and ROI. Forecast delegate revenue and spend. Drive growth in lead generation, attendance, and revenue. Regular reporting to portfolio leadership, updating on event KPI performance vs. target, and full ownership of marketing KPIs.
* Data strategy and management, including: Robust data plans for all events, assessment of the existing data - cleansing data of unengaged contacts, identify gaps then build relevant segmented data to build/increase market share. Plan new data builds and oversee the delivery. Support the launch teams to shape the brand strategy, tone of voice and value proposition to drive effective go to market strategies. Develop the brand across key global media platforms both online and off, including through overseeing the media partnership plan and the development and delivery of a PR strategy to raise the profile and drive customer and delegate acquisition.

* Demonstrable experience as a dynamic B2B marketing leader.
* A forward-thinking individual with an expertise in audience development and data management and global market experience.
* Passion and experience navigating change.
* Proven track-record of nurturing and coaching teams for results. In particular outside of traditional line management structures.
* Ability to build relationships and work in a fast paced, changeable environment.
* Proven experience of creating and delivering highly effective marketing strategies that deliver leads and revenue.
* Experience of developing customer insight and improving customer experience.
* Experience growing and nurturing buyer communities or key audience groups.
* Experience in budget management, with an analytical, data-driven, and highly structured approach to decision-making.
* Results-focused, able to clearly demonstrate success via proven metrics.
* Proven track record in setting and hitting targets and KPIs with weekly reporting on performance updates.
