* Ensure risk and control frameworks are implemented consistently and operate effectively
* Partner with first line teams to identify, assess and manage risks
* Provide second line oversight and constructive challenge on controls and risk management practices
* Contribute to risk opinions to support business decisions, projects and change initiatives
* Maintain risk registers, incident logs and ensure data quality, identifying trends and emerging risks
* Support risk culture initiatives including training, reporting and thematic reviews
About You:
* Experience in a risk management role, ideally within a second line capacity
* Exposure to a range of risk types (e.g. enterprise, operational, financial or compliance risk)
* Financial services experience preferred, particularly within a regulated environment
* Understanding of risk frameworks and the Three Lines of Defence model
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and challenge risk information
* Pragmatic approach with an understanding of risk vs reward
* Comfortable working with risk systems and Microsoft Office tools
* Experience with data/visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a bonus
