As a Platform Technical Architect, you’ll take a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality cloud solutions. You’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership, working with cutting-edge technologies to solve complex challenges that have real impact.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, build, and support of modern digital platforms on AWS and Azure.
* Collaborate with engineers, testers, consultants, and security specialists to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
* Provide technical leadership, making transparent and reasoned decisions while guiding teams through complex projects.
* Stay ahead of emerging technologies and apply them to maximise user and business benefit.
* Coach and mentor engineers, helping to foster a DevOps culture and support career growth.
* Act as a respected voice within the business, sharing knowledge and contributing to thought leadership.
* Support pre-sales and business development by shaping proposals and advising clients.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including SaaS and PaaS.
* Expertise in designing, automating, monitoring, and supporting production digital service platforms.
* Hands-on experience with automation tools (Terraform, Bash, Python, Go, Ruby, Groovy, or Powershell).
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Delivery practices.
* Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
* Proven track record of technical leadership in delivery projects, with experience coaching and mentoring.
* Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Eligible for SC Clearance.
Desirable:
* Public cloud certifications (AWS / Azure).
* Specialisation certifications (e.g. Kubernetes CKAD).
* Experience with cloud-native tooling and approaches.
* Active participation in technical communities of practice.
