Assistant Client Accountant Glasgow Office £27,000 - £30,000 We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading commercial property and asset management organisation. This position has arisen due to continued growth, and the company is keen to appoint someone who can support the Client Accounting team while developing towards managing their own portfolio. Working Hours * Monday - Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm * Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm Benefits This firm places real emphasis on culture, development, and progression, offering: * Clear career progression opportunities * Ongoing learning and development * Supportive and inclusive working environment * Regular social events and community initiatives * Opportunity to be part of a values-driven organisation The Role * Producing, reconciling, and analysing monthly client and tenant deposit bank accounts * Investigating and resolving outstanding balances and discrepancies * Preparation and submission of financial reporting, owner statements, and VAT reports * Authorising and reviewing supplier payments, including funding requests * Preparing and managing client payments and tenant refunds * Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation * Supporting the wider Client Accounting team with administrative tasks * Working towards taking ownership of your own client portfolio * Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and resolve queries * Ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines at all times The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience working in a similar accounting or finance role * Strong reconciliation and analytical skills * Experience or understanding of financial reporting and VAT * Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy * The ability to manage workload and meet deadlines * Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
