Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Sutton, Surrey (covering London, Greater London and the South of England) Our client, established in 2003, provides specialist Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) service support to the commercial building maintenance sector. With a strong reputation and a highly skilled mobile team, they deliver professional and reliable service across a wide portfolio of clients. They are now seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team. This is a mobile role, carrying out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and small installation works across commercial sites. Key Responsibilities Carry out service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of commercial gas appliances and heating systems. Perform testing and inspection of gas and mechanical systems in line with industry standards. Ensure plant and systems are maintained and operated for maximum efficiency, availability and reliability. Undertake remedial and refurbishment works following breakdowns or maintenance inspections. Carry out minor new installations and associated testing. Skills & Experience Fully qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer. Strong technical knowledge with excellent fault-finding skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Full, clean UK driving licence (no more than 3 penalty points). Required / Desired Gas Qualifications The successful candidate should ideally hold the following (or equivalent): BMP1 - Boosters, low pressure CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety CDGA1 - Commission, service, repair & breakdown of commercial direct-fired appliances & equipment CIGA1 - Commission, service, repair & breakdown of commercial indirect-fired appliances & equipment CODNCO1 - Changeover domestic to commercial natural gas CORT1 - Overhead luminous radiant plaque & radiant tube heaters (desirable, not essential) CPA1 - Combustion performance analysis ICPN1 - Installation of commercial pipework TPCP1A - Testing & purging of low-pressure commercial pipework Employee Package 40 hours per week Overtime available (but not guaranteed) 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) Company van and fuel card Company phone Workwear provided Pension scheme Private medical cover Ongoing training and development opportunities Additional Information Some of their client's projects involve Government departments, so successful candidates will be required to pass Home Office Security Vetting (SC clearance).
