Responsible for the day to day financial support of a mixed portfolio of services and will specialise in aspects of the provision of the finance service- for example Financial Planning or corporate financial accounting. Line Management of Finance Officers/Assistant Finance Officers within the team Please note that a standard DBS applies to selected SFO’s in Central Accountancy responsible for or having a role in the operation of bank accounts and or creditors operations. Would prefer Local Authority experience but would be willing to consider non LA or other public sector experience as long they can demonstrate experience in budget monitoring, holding meetings with Budget Holders and Senior Managers to present information, supervising junior staff etc. We would also be looking for applicants with significant experience of Capital Accounting in the public sector.
