This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Argyll & Bute Public Health team as a Health Improvement Senior. This permanent post will work across the Argyll and Bute HSCP Area to deliver a portfolio of work focused on HSCP priorities and targets related to working with vulnerable communities and community engagement. The role may involve partnership working with other partners across Argyll & Bute. Leadership and management experience and knowledge, skills and experience in health improvement are essential. The successful candidate will lead on a variety of health improvement programmes, manage staff, and use initiative and sound judgement in decision making. UK Public Health Registration or progress towards this is desirable.
Role requirements
A driving licence is required. The base is negotiable within Argyll and Bute and travel around Argyll & Bute will be required. Interviews will be held in-person, in Lochgilphead.

* Effective from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
