A highly regarded financial planning firm based in Ayr, with a first-class reputation in the market that offers true holistic advice to a diverse range of clients, has a vacancy due to increased workloads to work alongside the director. Expansion and ever-increasing new business levels have necessitated an additional member for their close-knit team—whether a senior IFA admin or paraplanner. Team fit is vital, and as a result, they can be flexible about the role.
You will mainly be providing support directly to the MD. Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will include preparing valuation reports, maintaining internal databases, processing new business, and handling both internal and client queries. You will navigate and transact on financial providers’ websites, obtain policy information from providers, etc., while working alongside other administrative staff and paraplanners.
To be considered, you must have an understanding of the market and compliance requirements, with the ability to manage your time effectively to maximize the profitability of your work. Being highly organized and committed to personal development and the enhancement of your technical skills is essential.
Excellent systems and IT knowledge are important, ideally with exposure to cash flow planning and experience with platforms such as Intelligent Office or Intelliflo. Suitable candidates will likely be currently working within a financial planning team, supporting advisers in similar duties, ideally within an IFA practice or investment management environment. Industry-relevant exams and good platform knowledge are also desirable.
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary, benefits, and a bonus, along with opportunities for progression. The company is committed to investing in your development, providing continual training, and supporting your exams in an autonomous work environment.
To be considered for this critical and rare opportunity, please upload your CV as soon as possible to discuss further with Alison Curran.
