Role overview
Customer Team Member (18+) SPAR Shawbirch, Telford.
Min of 18hrs p/w - possibly more hours when the store needs.
Various shifts between 6am & 11pm including weekends
We have an exciting opportunity for a SPAR Customer Team Member. As a Customer Team Member at SPAR Shawbirch, Telford, you will support the store management team and create a positive customer experience. Your responsibilities include maximising sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and contributing to store improvements through tasks aligned with our core principles: ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’
Key Tasks/Responsibilities
Customer Service:
* Greeting customers warmly.
* Answering inquiries and assisting customers in finding products.
* Processing transactions accurately and efficiently at the tills.
* Upselling and highlighting offers to boost sales.
Store Operations:
* Stock management including deliveries, shelf stocking, and stock rotation.
* Completing tasks like date checks, price changes, promotional displays.
* Following all company policies and procedures.
Key Skills/Knowledge
* Previous retail experience preferred.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Understanding of retail legislation and compliance.
* Ability to contribute ideas for service and business growth.
* Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
* Enthusiastic team player and independent worker.
* Cash handling experience is a plus but not essential.
