Reporting to the Head of Estates & Facilities, you’ll manage a portfolio of optician stores, leading lease events and negotiations to secure strong commercial outcomes. You’ll play a key role in aligning property decisions with our wider business strategy — ensuring our estate supports performance, growth, and long-term success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage day-to-day property matters across a defined portfolio of optical stores, ensuring effective and commercially sound estate management. Monitor and proactively manage all lease events, including rent reviews, renewals, break options, expiries, and regears. Lead and conclude negotiations on lease renewals and rent reviews to secure favourable commercial terms and mitigate risk. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with landlords, managing agents, and professional advisors to support positive long-term partnerships. Support acquisitions, relocations, and disposals by providing property due diligence, negotiation support, and strategic advice. Identify and deliver opportunities to improve commercial performance across the estate, including cost savings and value enhancement initiatives. Provide strategic property input to ensure estate decisions align with the Group’s wider growth strategy KILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE You’ll thrive in this role if you’re commercially astute, proactive, and confident, leading negotiations in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You’ll bring: Proven experience managing a retail or multi-site commercial property portfolio. • Strong knowledge of commercial lease structures, including rent reviews, renewals, break clauses, and statutory processes. • Demonstrable experience negotiating directly with landlords and agents to secure commercially advantageous outcomes. • A sharp commercial mindset, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities that impact business performance. • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and critical deadlines effectively.
