Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the direction of a teacher, or independently where appropriate.
2. Cover classes in the short-term absence of the teacher.
3. Lead small group and 1:1 interventions to raise attainment and support pupil progress.
4. Assess, monitor, and record pupils' achievements to provide feedback to teachers.
5. Support children's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
6. Work in partnership with teachers to contribute to planning and curriculum delivery.
7. Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation.
8. Supervise pupils during non-teaching times (playtimes, lunchtimes, trips).
9. Uphold safeguarding, equality, and behaviour policies consistently.
Person Specification
Essential:
* HLTA status, Level 6 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent.
* Experience of working in a primary school setting.
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and strategies to support learning.
* Ability to lead and deliver learning with confidence.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to inclusive practice and raising standards for all pupils.
