Minimum qualifications:
1. Medical degree (e.g., MD, DO, MBBS).
2. 7 years of experience in consumer-focused digital health research and product development focused on consumer health.
3. 7 years of experience driving projects with cross-functional teams.
4. 2 years of experience with AI in a health/healthcare setting.
5. Specialized training in lifestyle medicine or a related specialty, demonstrated by completion of a relevant accredited residency or fellowship, as well as board certification, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Experience with research in generative AI, including safety approaches and peer-reviewed publications.
2. Experience in digital health evaluation and clinical research, including designing and conducting real-world evaluations.
3. Experience working in complex, ambiguous environments with cross-functional teams.
4. Proven track record of taking a consumer-focused health or wellness product from concept to market.
5. Excellent communication and people management skills.
6. Recognition as a national leader in lifestyle medicine research and practice.

As a Clinical Specialist, you will contribute to developing intelligent and intuitive tools that improve health journeys for users. You will collaborate with research, engineering, product management, regulatory, and research teams, leveraging your clinical background in lifestyle medicine with expertise in clinical care, research, and digital health. Your focus will be on consumer product development, generative AI, and safety, conducting clinical research to support the development of personalized AI-powered health and wellness products, including Fitbit and Pixel devices. Your clinical insights will ensure our approaches are scientifically grounded and create measurable health benefits for users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education, with specific ranges discussed during hiring.
Responsibilities
1. Use clinical expertise to guide Google’s consumer products, especially wearables, in collaboration with research and product teams.
2. Design research studies and product requirements leveraging lifestyle medicine expertise.
3. Identify evidence-based practices and scientific breakthroughs to define strategic priorities and new opportunities using sensors and software.
4. Contribute to developing generative AI products to improve access to credible health information.
