Job Description:
Due to winning new business - we are recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers for our prestigious client based in Middlewich. Driving a HGV Class 1 lorry on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a safe manner ensuring that the loads are secured correctly and that the goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, and ensuring all paperwork is signed.
* Permanent
* 4 on 4 off
* £34,932.17 per annum
* 42.46 hours per week
* Start times between 03:30 – 10:00
* 12 hour shift
* Single and double deck delivery retuning back to base
* Local onsite shunting will also be required
* All drivers are required to be flexible to work nights out when needed
* Shift premiums paid for overtime and nights out
* All successful candidates will be required to have a BPSS and a Criminal Records Check covering a full five year period
How will you contribute?
* Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.
* Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
* Checking secure load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
* Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
* Be aware of the vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.
* Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role.
What will you bring?
* Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
* Must have valid in date CPC
* Must hold Digital tachograph card
* Must have minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
* Must not have more than 6 points on licence
* Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
* Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service
* Must have good communication skills and a flexible can do attitude to work
* Must have a good geographical knowledge
