Structural engineer

Offer description

Calibre Search are working alongside a long-established, Yorkshire-based Design Consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering intelligent, practical engineering solutions. For decades, they've partnered with developers, architects, contractors, and local authorities to shape projects that range from landmark high-rise developments to complex refurbishments and major industrial masterplans. Known for being approachable, reliable, and highly professional, the firm has become a trusted name across the region and further afield.

As a Structural Engineer, you'll work on an incredibly varied portfolio. One week you could be designing reinforced concrete frames for high-rise residential schemes; the next, you might be helping to convert a disused building into a modern cultural venue, masterplanning an industrial park on brownfield land, or developing foundations for energy-from-waste facilities. The team's workload also includes sensitive heritage refurbishments, live production environments, commercial redevelopments, and sports and education projects-ensuring you'll never be stuck on the same type of work.

What makes this Consultancy stand out is their commitment to delivering solutions that are both elegant and buildable. They pride themselves on sustainability, with a focus on reusing existing structures, cutting embodied carbon, and applying modern methods of construction. Clients return to them time and again because they combine deep technical expertise with a collaborative, down-to-earth approach.

The role will see you managing projects from feasibility through to delivery, working closely with architects, contractors, and local authorities. You'll also play an important part in mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge, and supporting their professional growth.

This isn't just about the work-it's about being part of a team that genuinely values its people. Alongside a competitive salary, you'll benefit from a generous holiday allowance, company pension, flexible working arrangements, and structured professional development (including support toward Chartership if required). The practice fosters a friendly, supportive culture where collaboration is encouraged and success is shared, with regular social and professional events bringing the team together.

If you hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, are working toward Chartership, and are excited by the opportunity to work on challenging, varied projects in a Consultancy with a strong reputation and supportive culture, then please contact Sam at Calibre Search or click apply

Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age. We act as both an employment agency and employment business
