Insight Global are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator for a leading technology organisation.
This position requires 5 days onsite in Cambridge, UK on a 12‑month rolling contract (Inside IR35).
Day-to-Day Overview:
The role is ideal for someone hands‑on who has been the “go‑to” IT person in a smaller environment or enjoys working across a broad range of systems. You’ll support Windows and Linux environments, troubleshoot lab and legacy systems, and collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, QA, and hypervisor teams.
Must‑Have Requirements Include:
* Strong background in Windows Systems Administration
* Active Directory (users, permissions, policy management)
* Foundational networking (DNS, DHCP, routing basics)
* Group Policy & Windows security controls
* Hands‑on hardware troubleshooting and repair
* PowerShell Scripting Experience
* Strong troubleshooting mindset and comfort with legacy systems
