About the Team
The Early Years and Education team delivers high‑quality, student‑focused training. We combine theory with practical experience, including placements and employer involvement, to support learners for careers in early childhood and primary education.
About the Role
You will deliver high‑quality teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, support programme development and act as Course Leader. Key duties include curriculum coordination, attendance tracking, safeguarding, and participation in moderation, recruitment and open events.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned teaching to post‑16 learners.
* Act as Course Leader and Lead‑IV where required, contributing to programme coordination and quality assurance.
* Track and monitor attendance, progress and achievement; apply appropriate interventions.
* Participate in recruitment activities, open days, external moderation and keep accurate records.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and learner outcomes.
Person Specification
* Qualifications – Hold or be working towards a teaching qualification (e.g. BEd, Cert Ed., DTLLs) and a relevant degree or professional qualification.
* Experience – Demonstrable evidence of engaging learners and delivering high‑quality provision to post‑16 age group; experience of programme leadership and management desirable.
* Skills, Knowledge & Abilities – Excellent communication, pastoral and organisational skills; capacity to inspire learners of all backgrounds; knowledge of sector developments and safeguarding.
* Business Requirements – Completed DBS check, child‑barred list, teaching check; commitment to widening participation, professional development and college values.
