Overview
CAMHS Consultant – Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Beds – Up to 12 CAMHS beds. Support – FT dedicated Specialty Doctor & MDT. On calls – TBC. Salary – £180,880 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Clinical: Acting as Consultant and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatients
* Leading on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning process
* Working collaboratively with patients, carers, and external agencies
* Chairing MDT and CPA meetings
* Preparing reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and Managers Hearings
* Contributing to clinical governance and continuous service improvement
Management
* Providing clinical leadership in partnership with the Ward Manager
* Supporting regulatory compliance and quality standards on the ward
* Attending monthly CAMHS governance meetings and contributing to service development
Academic
* Participating in monthly academic meetings
* Delivering case presentations and teaching sessions
* Engaging in audit, research, and quality improvement projects

What we require
* You will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and will have experience of working in inpatient and outpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
* You will have experience at consultant level psychiatry and will have held a consultant position in the NHS.
* You will hold a current license to practice and be on the appropriate specialist register.
