Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants delivering high quality, personal care to residents. You will inspire, develop and nurture staff to perform at their best every day. You will be motivated, positive, have strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy working in a close-knit team. You are pivotal in running a unit and responsible for all clinical duties in the home, including observation, medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping. Your clinical expertise will support all CQC responsibilities.
You will:
* Have day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
* Be responsible for all clinical duties, issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping
* Lead and manage a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers
* Help train and supervise new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
* Build relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
* Assist residents with a range of personal care duties
Qualifications and Training
As a Clinical Lead you’ll have completed / be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re happy to support the completion of your qualification if needed. You should have previous experience in the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges, and a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives through kindness, personalised support and dignity.
We’ll train you on all aspects of our new digital care and ongoing clinical and social care developments to help you do your job effectively.
