About the Role: Preparing, setting out, and clearing away equipment and materials for science practicals and examinations across all Key Stages (Years 7-11). Ensuring the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment and maintaining accurate stock control procedures. Assisting teachers in the preparation and delivery of practical lessons. Contributing to the development and maintenance of a well-resourced and safe science learning environment. Demonstrating a high level of health and safety awareness and adhering to all laboratory regulations. Providing technical support to teachers and liaising with external suppliers as necessary. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Science Technician (or equivalent experience) with a strong understanding of scientific principles and practical procedures. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A meticulous and safety-conscious approach to working in a laboratory setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students. A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for science education.
