We are looking for a Character Artist to join Blazing Griffin to work on an exciting original IP. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a talented, friendly and highly creative team. Within this role you will : Take direction from the A rt Director to deliver high quality characters using Zbrush, Painter and other industry standard 3d software. Work alongside the art team, mentoring more junior artists helping them develop their craft. Setup and test your completed characters and refine them in engine (Unity). Feedback into the creative process bringing your own insight and ideas. Collaborate with concept artists and make suggestions where designs can be amended before starting pro duction. Take an active role in documenting workflows that are developed for the project. As sist in the planning of work with the Art Director and Producer. What we’re looking for : 3 years minimum game development experience with several shipped titles. A s olid knowledge of character art production pipelines. C omfortable working in a range of styles, particularly more stylized work. Excellent understanding of silhouette, colour, detail and how to balance it. Familiarity of working with adjacent disciplines such as tech animation, concept art, animation and game design. U p to date with modern processes in character art pipeline s. E xperience working with game engines – Unity a plus.
