Acoustics and Signature Analyst
Full Time, On-site.
Derby, Raynesway.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Acoustics and Signature Analyst to join Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby.
What you will be doing
* You will be conducting acoustic analysis/CAE (e.g. FEA/FEM, SEA, multi-physics solvers) and providing advice and guidance to the boat programmes.
* Strategic thinking to build on the business vision for the future of the signature capability.
* Liaising with customers, and various stakeholders in the signature community.
* Undertaking work relating to analysis/CAE, analysis methods development including V&V and uncertainty qualification.
* Supporting product V&V through relevant testing or commissioning programmes.
* Provide technical guidance in the design process.
* Drive continuous improvement through the business to develop capability and improvements to design.
Who we are looking for
* Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience.
* Demonstrate interest in noise & vibration assessments.
* Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively on multiple projects at the same time.
* An ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and with our customer.
* Experience of research and development, analytical and test validation activities.
* Desire to actively promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvements (of tools, processes and methods) both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team and organisation.

Security clearance
To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
