Job Description:
Join us, be part of more.
We’re more than just an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers, a team of 21,000 colleagues energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels, while living our commitment to positive change in communities. Here, you find purpose, passion, and potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently — we make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
About your team:
At British Gas, our mission is to sell and mend energy solutions.
Powering UK homes and businesses for over 200 years, we’re also making the UK greener and more energy-efficient, using tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers to help customers reduce their carbon footprint.
Role overview:
The Strategic Partnerships Sales Manager plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships with Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs) for British Gas Business. The role involves collaborating with senior management to develop partnerships, implement strategies, and drive growth, while improving customer retention and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include negotiating commercial partnership agreements, driving energy and service sales across Small and Mid-Market segments, and leading initiatives to exceed growth and retention targets. The manager will align with our Broker Strategy, unlock revenue streams, and identify growth opportunities, demonstrating leadership to craft innovative solutions that enhance customer value.
Key accountabilities:
* Develop effective relationships with internal teams, regulators, and relevant departments to influence clients.
* Monitor policy and legislation changes in the energy sector, supporting the company’s strategic position.
* Ensure compliance with the BGB TPI Management Framework and internal policies, including risk management and mandatory training.
Candidate requirements:
* Extensive experience managing relationships with third-party intermediaries and partners in the energy sector.
* Proven sales leadership in B2B energy markets, with a focus on ethical operation and regulatory compliance.
* Ability to develop strategies that deliver commercial value and customer growth across various B2B clients.
* Exceptional communication skills for engaging with senior leaders and delivering impactful presentations.
Why apply?
We’re a people-focused organisation that supports diverse needs. Our rewards are flexible to support your physical, emotional, and financial well-being.
