Hampshire County Council's Family Support Hub is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to families and children, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and guidance to thrive. Our integrated service model brings together professionals from various disciplines to offer holistic and compassionate care to our community.
They are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Workers of all levels to join the Family Support Hub. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting families, contributing their expertise to our integrated service, and working collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and agencies. This role involves engaging with families facing complex challenges, conducting assessments, and developing intervention plans that promote the well-being and safety of children and their families. There are roles available across the County.
Key Responsibilities:
Family Support: Provide comprehensive support to families, addressing their needs and ensuring the well-being and safety of children.
Integrated Service Contribution: Offer the Social Work perspective within our integrated service, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Case Management: Manage a caseload of families, conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and monitoring progress.
Intervention and Advocacy: Develop and implement intervention strategies to support families in crisis, advocating for their needs within the system.
Community Engagement: Work with community resources and agencies to connect families with necessary services and support networks.
Legislation and Policy Compliance: Maintain a thorough knowledge of and adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection protocols.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, engaging with professionals from various fields to provide comprehensive care.
Interpersonal Skills: Utilise excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with families and engage with them effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified to a degree level or equivalent with a valid Social Work England registration
Experience working with families and children facing complex challenges.
Strong assessment and case management skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with families from diverse backgrounds.
