About the Role
Our partner school l is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Assistant to deliver targeted academic support as part of the National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTaP). This role is focused on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to overcome barriers to learning and make meaningful progress.
You will work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis, delivering structured interventions aligned with the school curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions in line with NTAP guidance
2. Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
3. Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive learning activities
4. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
5. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
6. Maintain accurate records of sessions and outcomes
The Ideal Candidate Will Have ⭐
7. Experience working with children or young people with SEND
8. A good understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to pupil wellbeing
11. Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
12. Experience delivering interventions or tutoring (desirable)
