As a 3D Designer you’ll be responsible for generating engineering drawings suitable to manufacture lifesaving equipment.
You’ll be working with project managers, manufacturing and assembly areas in generating 3D drawings fit for purpose and right first time
+ Generating concise engineering drawings from CAD models with GD&T specifications
+ Produce, modify and update 3D models, add detail to assembly engineering drawings in-line with approved engineering change requests and fully document the changes using engineering change notices.
+ Produce designs against requirements with consideration to cost, quality, schedule, risk, Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA) & human factors
+ Liaise directly with Production Engineering Department to ensure datum and tolerance schemes are aligned with Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection requirements.
+ Use of Siemens NX and Teamcenter 11 for data control.
Qualifications required
+ HNC, HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering
+ Engineering Apprenticeship.
Experience required
+ Commercial experience in 3D CAD modelling.
+ Siemens NX 12 & Teamcenter 11 or similar 3D CAD
+ Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 drawing standards
+ SAP or similar ERP MRP system
