Are you an experienced and passionate clinical leader looking for your next step? I am recruiting for a dedicated Deputy Manager (Clinical) to support the Home Manager in delivering outstanding, person-centred nursing care within a well-established care home in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident NMC registered nurse with Deputy Manager experience who is committed to achieving excellence in care, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance.
The Role
As Deputy Manager (Clinical), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care in line with CQC standards and best practice guidelines.
You will:
* Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams
* Promote person-centred care that upholds dignity, choice, and wellbeing
* Take responsibility for clinical governance and oversee the service in the absence of the Home Manager
* Ensure compliance with CQC requirements and company policies
* Mentor, supervise, and support nurses and care staff
* Conduct clinical audits and oversee medication management
* Review, update, and evaluate care plans
* Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping
* Complete pre-admission and risk assessments
* Liaise effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies
* Safeguard residents by identifying appropriate referral pathways
About You We are looking for someone who is:
* AnNMC registered nursewith relevant clinical experience (essential)
* Experienced in a Deputy Home Manager role
* Knowledgeable in CQC standards and regulatory requirements
* Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care
* Skilled at building strong working relationships with families, professionals, and staff
* Confident in promoting shared ownership of care programmes with residents and families
* Proactive, organised, and able to lead by example
