Intelligence Research Officer, National Environmental Crime Unit NECU
The Environment Agency is looking to recruit an Intelligence Research Officer to join NECU in a dynamic part of the business. The Environment Agency aims to be an intelligence-led organisation, and this role supports investigations by pro-actively developing and accessing intelligence from a range of sources to inform decision making and provide actionable intelligence products for our customers. Environmental crime is a strategic priority and this role helps prioritise and drive forward interventions to remove unlawful operators from the waste regimes. The team supports the Environment Agency’s enforcement community across 14 geographical areas and national services.
Location is flexible with a mix of home and office working; travel to Birmingham and Sheffield offices may be required on occasions. The role may be involved in incident response and business continuity during incidents, which may attract additional payment and training.
