We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the technical definition, integration, and delivery of subsystems within next-generation naval platforms. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you’ll shape architecture, define interfaces, and drive integration readiness across complex engineering domains.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
* Lead the technical development of assigned subsystems, from architecture through to integration and verification.
* Define and manage interfaces, behaviours, and verification strategies to ensure system-level alignment.
* Collaborate across disciplines—mechanical, electrical, software, and control—to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions.
* Proactively manage technical dependencies and risks, ensuring integration readiness and resolving blockers.
* Support system-level testing and qualification, contributing to detailed planning and analysis.
* Provide technical leadership within your domain, contributing to reviews, assurance activities, and stakeholder engagement.
* Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
🧠 What You’ll Bring:
Essential:
* Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
* 4–7 years of experience in systems engineering within complex, regulated, or safety-critical environments.
* Strong grasp of systems architecture, requirement flowdown, and integration planning.
* Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery within a defined scope or subsystem.
* Skilled in interface definition, cross-discipline coordination, and design assurance.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with class approval processes (e.g. Lloyd’s Register, DNV) or similar compliance frameworks.
* Experience with MBSE tools (e.g. SysML, Cameo) and digital engineering practices.
* Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and collaborative engineering platforms.
* Exposure to staged integration, TRL-based delivery, or platform qualification programs.
