You will work in a busy preparation centre working with and alongside a variety of specialist teams. Our Prep Centre processes over a 1600 vehicle's a month and services 8 Stores around the UK. Vehicle Technician - The Person: * Full UK driving license. * A keen eye for detail and recognising the importance of giving every car in our workshop the highest standard of care. * A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members to overcome challenges and solve problems quickly. * A huge passion for learning and keeping up with industry innovations to help you perform at your best. * Communication with Worksop Controller/Manager to ensure that quality repairs are carried out on all vehicles. * Strong technical background with experience of working as motor vehicle mechanic in similar role. * Good communication skills. * Ability to carry out repairs efficiently and to a high level of quality. * A minimum of NVQ L3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent). * A qualified diagnostic technician, preferably multi-brand. * Must be fully trained and be able to demonstrate both speed & quality of work. Vehicle Technician - The Duties: * Utilising your mechanical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including clutch replacement and cam belt replacement. * Effectively and productively repair vehicles from brake pads and tyres to oil and filter checks. * Complete minor electrical work as and when required. * Vehicle servicing & general maintenance including electrical & vehicle diagnostics. * Working against set parameters to inspect the mechanical condition of vehicles. * Performing technical vehicle assessments. Salary: £42,000 Hours: * 47.5 hours a week – 2/4 Saturdays as overtime * 7am – 5pm (weekdays) * 7am – 12pm (Saturdays)
