Special Needs Teaching Assistant
* Full Time / Permanent contract
* September 2025 start date
* 13-week of holidays per year
* Hours: 8:30 - 3:30 (Monday - Friday)
NextGen Teachers are currently working with a SEN school based in Leeds who are seeking to recruit a Special Needs Teaching Assistants who has experience working with Autistic children across the Primary and Secondary age range. This school caters for children with a range of Special Educational needs including: ASC (Autism), ADHD, MLD, SLD, GDD, Complex needs, Communication needs and Behavioural needs.
The role of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant will be to support a small class of SEN children with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and who require 1:1 and 2:1 support on a day to day basis.
The school are seeking to recruit a compassionate and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support autistic pupils in their specialist setting. You will work closely with fellow Teaching Assistants and Class Teacher to ensure the children's needs are met each day and you will be required to support in all daily activities and curriculum based work including sensory play, day to day lessons and outdoor provision.
The school are looking to trial and Interview candidates as soon as the school re-opens in September with a view of starting as soon as possible (if you are successful).
