Job Description


Diary management and scheduling

* Managing 2 Executives’ schedules and setting meetings internally and externally, including project meetings with writers/directors and general support for the TV Development Team.
* Liaising with the Chairmen’s offices and senior staff, coordinating with LA colleagues, and ensuring meetings are added to diaries where appropriate.
* Front of house duties when welcoming people for meetings.
* Acting as first point of contact for calls to the Executives and the TV development department, ensuring messages are passed on professionally.
* Reviewing the diary at the start and end of each day to ensure preparation for meetings (e.g., reading/watching relevant material).
* Taking minutes in internal departmental meetings and following up on any arising tasks.


Submissions

* Assist Head of Drama’s Assistant in managing the submissions log.
* Cover material and write synopses with informed feedback on material submitted, assessing fit for Working Title TV slates.
* Upload material to shared drives for access by TV and film development teams.


Scripts / Working Title Projects

* Proofread new drafts and amend typos using Final Draft.
* Ensure scripts are correctly labeled and filed in the internal system.
* Watermark scripts/material for talent and log relevant information.
* Update project lists (cast, writer, director) and prepare up-to-date synopses for meetings.
* Prepare upbeat sheets and card scripts ahead of meetings; collaborate with other assistants to keep project synopses current.


Travel

* Coordinate national/international travel and accommodation with high-profile talent.
* Organize team travel for business trips, events, and visits to sets/production sites.


General

* Book theatre tickets and events.
* Monitor industry news and circulate relevant updates to the development team; conduct general research and compile clear documents.
* Research IP and backlist titles; update writers/directors long-lists.
* Reconcile business credit card statements and staff expenses; provide support for visitors as needed.


Qualifications

Ideal candidates thrive as an assistant in a busy, creative department. Experience as an assistant is preferred. Good working knowledge of established and emerging talent in the film and TV industry, strong organizational skills, and keen interest in film and high-end TV drama. Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with senior talent.

While primarily administrative, there is scope to contribute to the creative aspects of the department. A broad interest in film and television is expected, with welcome interest in theatre, literature, podcasts, comedy, gaming, social media, and content creation that can feed into the department.
