Job Description
3. Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
4. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
5. Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
6. Support accounts payable and receivable processes
7. Assist with VAT returns and HMRC compliance
8. Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
9. Support year-end accounts and audit preparation
10. Process journals, accruals, and prepayments
11. Assist with payroll processing if required
12. Work with accounting software QuickBooks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
13. AAT qualified/part - qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
14. Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant/ Accounts Assistant role
15. Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT regulations
16. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, word and PowerPoint.
17. Experience with accounting software QuickBooks, Sage
18. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
19. Excellent organisational and time management skills
