The Role: Logistics/Porter
The Logistics/Porter is responsible for managing the flow of goods within BT's Better Workplace Building in Bristol. This includes liaising with the landlord team, managing loading bay bookings, waste management, supporting event setups, and maintaining the FM storage area.
Key responsibilities include:
* Moving plant, equipment, furniture, and materials around the site.
* Loading and unloading dishwashers.
* Maintaining tidy relax and refuel areas and restocking supplies.
* Managing logistics for on-site events, including equipment handling and room setup/takedown.
* Supporting signing in event contractors.
* Managing site waste and supporting recycling initiatives.
* Overseeing the FM storage area and ensuring proper goods movement.
* Reporting equipment issues or breakdowns.
* Building effective relationships within the customer organization.
* Adhering to health and safety policies and ensuring a safe working environment.
* Ensuring compliance with all processes, procedures, and statutory requirements.
* Supporting sustainability efforts through waste management and recycling.
* Managing waste service providers and ensuring proper documentation.
* Managing consumables, tools, and equipment stock levels.
* Performing other duties as directed by the Logistic Manager and FM team, such as watering plants, distributing stationery, and supporting general site needs.
