About the Role

You will:
Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
Implement and follow behaviour support strategies as advised by the SENCO and external professionals
Use positive reinforcement, de-escalation and distraction techniques to help regulate emotional responses
Create a calm and structured learning environment to support engagement and participation
Assist with classroom tasks, personal development, and emotional well-being activities
Support the teacher and wider staff team to ensure the pupil’s safety and inclusion in school life
This role will require patience, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of empathy. Each day will bring new challenges, but also countless opportunities to make a lasting impact.
