Business Development Lead
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Lead to join our team driving our national growth strategy!
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Office Partners and Marketing Team the successful applicant will ensure the firm has a data driven and proactive approach to winning new business across all service lines and regions.
Brief Job Description
You will be responsible for the full business development cycle, from lead origination through to client onboarding and oversee a growing team delivering consistent and measurable fee growth across bk plus.
Duties
* Lead the Business Development team (currently comprising of 2 team members, with scope to expand)
* Set clear individual and team objectives
* Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and professional development within the team
* Develop and implement a national business development strategy
* Provide regular reporting on pipeline performance, conversion rates and fee growth outcomes
* Support the creation and enhancement of business development strategies, tools and technology platforms that drive sustainable national growth
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to design, implement, and assess campaigns, events, and initiatives that generate qualified new business opportunities.
* Manage and continuously improve the entire lead generation and onboarding process to enhance efficiency, ensure accountability and deliver an exceptional client experience
* Partner with key stakeholders nationwide to identify and pursue local growth opportunities
* Convert key prospects through tailored proposals, relationship management and structured follow ups
* Deliver annual new business fee growth targets
* Grow the in‑lead to client conversion rates
* Provide a measurable return on marketing and business development initiatives
Requirements for the role
* Proven track record in business development within professional services, preferably within accountancy, legal, or financial advisory sectors.
* Demonstrable experience of managing and growing successful BD teams.
* Strong understanding of lead generation strategies, sales conversion, and client onboarding processes.
* Experience collaborating with marketing teams to deliver integrated growth campaigns and events.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence Partners and senior leaders.
* Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and strong analytical capabilities.
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
* Collaborative leader who can inspire and develop others.
* Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities across a national remit.
