A well-established and growing engineering business is seeking a capable and commercially aware Business Unit / Operations Manager to lead its manufacturing facility in Ballykelly. This role is responsible for managing production output, leading a skilled team, and driving operational performance in line with company objectives. Salary - £70k - £80k Key Responsibilities Oversee daily production operations to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets Lead and develop the production team, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and high performance Manage scheduling, resource planning, and workflow to optimise efficiency Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure aligned delivery Drive improvements in productivity, process, and team capability Ensure a safe and compliant working environment at all times Ideal Candidate 5+ years experience in a production or operations management role within a manufacturing setting Strong leadership and team management skills Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality assurance practices Confident communicator with a hands-on, problem-solving approach Commercially aware and delivery-focused Desirable Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field Experience with ERP systems and operational metrics Familiarity with electrical systems or switchgear production (advantageous) In Return for an exceptional salary, Early finish every Friday at 12noon, Life assurance, Pension, and lots more!!
